This is my first post here and I wanted some opinions on Monster Power conditioning products.

I did a search and was not able to find any relevent posts.

So i would like experiences with Monster products and any other similar products like Panamax, Audio magic,Richard Gray's Power Company etc.

thanks:)

What do you need power conditioning/filtering for? the needs for a DVD/TV are alot easier than a receiver/amp.

I would recommend you post more details for you particular needs in order to get a good response.

I would have to say that Monster Power is both of what you have listed. It's quality stuff, but it's also overpriced and over-marketed. Richard Gray and Audio Magic are more esoteric companies that also charge a lot of money for products. I personally believe that power conditioning is strictly a science, and thus those companies that devote time to R&D should have the best products.

So, I would suggest a product from Tripp-Lite, APC, or Panamax that fits your budget and your current needs and go with it.

My system consists of a 60 inch Hitachi 60v525, a Panasonic upcoverting HDMI DVD player DVDS77, a Yamaha 7.1 5890 reciever, a DVL-90 Pioneer Elite Laserdisc/DVD player, 4 Athena AS-B2, 2 Athena AS-C1's and a Velodyne DPS-12B. So i would like to increase the performance and since I get a deal on monster products I am wondering if they are worth it comparitively. I am looking at a Monster MPHTS5100. I want to have a digital filtering system for my rather noisy DVL-90

Define what a "deal" is on Monster products. Also, I think you'd be okay with one of the lower models. They're all high-quality, but also high-price.

I think most companies make good A/V power centers, including the Belkin listed above. I also think that we are finding out that there really are not CHEAP units that are comparible to the ones Monster sells.

This site reviewed the 3500 from Monster and didn't really mention anything bad about it at all. Price was in-line with quality which is not always that case with Monster. Throw in eBay and you can get some really good deals on their stuff.

I have 2 of their Power Centers. One was a unit I got as a return for under cost (HTS-2500). The other was a freebie from a big programming job I did (HTS-7000)... So, it's hard to say that my price on them wasn't phenomenal. But, even at full price, they are comparible in price and value to units from about every other major manufacturer including Belkin and Panamax and Surgex as well as others.

EDIT: Here is the Audioholics review:

I actually have that exact same monster power bar!

However I am looking for more advanced filtering that will help to isolate each pair of outlets from the other, for instance keeping digital products from puting noise back into other parts of my system. It seems from most of what i have heard here that monster does that and some other companies do it cheaper. Since Monster has marketed themselves so well they have almost had monoply on this market. It seems that starting to change.

I bought a Belkin PF-60 that was on e-bay so i will let you know how that works out.

thanks for all the replies, keep 'em coming!
