Is it possible to connect DIRECTLY WITHOUT ANY AMPLIFIER some OLD center, surround and subwoofer speaker that I have to my RCA DVD player on the 5.1 Channel outputs via this converter?

Does it will work? or it will screw my speakers? OR do the speakers will receive nice quality sound?

Yes, it is physically possible. However, I would urge you not to attempt this experiment. The line level output circuits on the DVD player is designed for very low current[it expects a very high load impedance on the order of several thousand ohms]. If you connect a speaker to this, you will be operating the device outside of it's design parameters. You will likely damage the circuit with extended use in this capacity. Besides, the signal would be so low in volume, you would have to put the speakers right next to your ears to hear anything. :)

Two possible results depencing on which end goes where.

1) If the RCA plugs go to the output of the DVD player and the tinned ends go to the speakers then it simply won't work. You'll need an amplifier.

2) Thus would mean you are connecting a speaker le el output to a line level input. Not a good thing. You may overdrive the unit.

Of course, not knowing your pareticular unit, where those RCA jacks are and what that particular unit puts out of those jacks, these ideas may be off base. I'm just going by what most units do and, according to that, it doean't look too promising.

Some more info on the DVD player itself may be helpful.

I've seen some dvdplayer/receiver combo decks where this would work. But the receiver part amplifies the signal.

If our dvdplayer is a standalone unit (no receiver built in), then I have to agree with everybody else. It wont work, or will damage your player.
