I am using the Harmony One remote control and most of the time, not all the time, when I use a funtion, watch tv, watch a dvd, etc. it will put my tv to antanae 2. Then I get all this white noise for about 30 seconds until the remote switches the tv input to the correct input.

I only have one hdmi cable going to the tv. No other inputs are being used. I have programmed and reprogramed the remote, thinking it got a glitch, but it sill does it.

Is this the remotes doing or my tv? Oh, my tv is a mitsubishi 65833.

What happens when you use the remote that came with the TV? That will decide the issue. If you don't have the remote it is impossible to decide the issue.

I have not used the remote to change the input when this happens, becasue the Harmony will eventually change the input, usually within 20 seconds. I have tried to mute the tv with both the tv remote, Harmony remote, and receiver remote to no avail. That blasted white noise is unrelenting. The weird thing is that it does not do it all the time, but most of the time.

Try going into your Harmony remote software and select "Watch TV" and then "Review the settings for this Activity" then click the "Yes, but I want to add more control of options and devices for this Activity." then click "Next" then "Save" then "Next" then select "Add action for ---Your TV ---- when the Activity starts" and click the ADD button. That will get you to a screen where you can add a command via the drop down options to set the TV on the proper input immediately (well actually within 100ms which is the quickest setting). Then save it and update your remote.

Also upon review of your settings you may find something askew - but the above procedure will tell the remote to set the TV input first.

I did not know you could manage the cycle in which the remote could turn on the equipment. I will try that when I get home.

Like the guy said, unless you do this, there ain't no way to determine the culprit.

One would think the antanna switching would be fairly quick. If you want to isolate the problem between the TV or the remote, you're gonna have to try using the TV's remote and see if the problem persists.

Has this always done this or is it a new issue?

I set my remote to turn the tv input first and it still did the same thing.

I also tried the actaul tv remote, and since I am only using one input on the tv, it has nothing to cycle too, so the screen goes blank for a few seconds and then goes back.

It's the remote, that same issue is one reasons of the why I ditched my Harmony remote.

Worst product.... Ever.
