Is it an advantage or disadvantage?

For a 90% HT application I'm considering the B&W DS6 surround speakers for my side surrounds. You may know that in dipole mode they cut off the high end at 10 kHz which is 2k above the THX standard. However the DTS and Dolby digital is sending out full range information. The speaker placement considering there are two rows of seats guarantees that some folks are going to be out of the null zone. So, the upside with these speakers is, without the highs they will be more difficult to "locate" which is a consideration for people with a speaker more likely firing at them. The downside is I can still hear above 10 kHz. What's more important a nice even wash of surround sound or a fuller range? If I don't go with these, I'm considering the Paradigm AVP-370s. The front is Vandersteen. Thanks for the guidance and suggestions on any other speakers to audition.

If you don't need to match the fronts and aren't a fan of dipoles, check out the Axiom Audio QS8's. There mulitpole design provides a disperse sound field without nulls or positioning issues.
