Is Boston Acoustic any good?

I have not heard them - however, the reviews for EMP are good.
The woofers in the EMP are bigger and will play lower. This should
give you a better all around balanced sound. At least check them
out. In a sub/sat system - I want the sats to play down as low as
possible.

Boston Acoustics kind of waffled around for a while but now that D&M Holding owns them, it seems that they're making a turn-around. In the late '80s/early '90s, they made some good speakers- I did car audio then and I liked their Pro series a lot.

Speaker sound is very subjective.

Take a listen at a dealer.

I've owned several sets of BA speakers over the years including my current RS towers. They aren't my favorites of all time, but I feel that BA speakers are good quality at the right price (not MSRP).

The CS line is BA's entry-level speakers. Compare accordingly.
