Is anybody using TWO pair of rear surrounds?

Sorry about the dual post; I was having cookie issues . . .

Is anybody switching between rear surrounds - one side-by-side pair and THX Ultra2 ASA, and one pair per ITU for DVD-A and SACD? The THX Ultra2 setup is supposed to be good for both movies and music but, with two very closely mounted monopole speakers, would seem to offer zero separation with discrete L & R rear music channels. With side surrounds set to dipole (not to mention being on the side instead of rear), they would not sem to be ideal for 5.1 discrete music either. That's what brings me to pondering mounting another pair of speakers, identical to the front L & R speakers in type and separation, on the rear wall and switching between them and my present ASA'd pair.

I wanted to do this, I just don't have the space in my room. I know some audiophiles who do use dual pairs of dipoles and monopoles via a speaker switch box. In some, they use an integrated stereo amp that has speaker A or B selector options to choose between the two.

Yes alot of Denon receivers made after the AVR3300 use this function where ther are two sets of Side Channel outputs, and if u get and nice amp with an IR Input on the back u might be able to switch by remote, though in order to change CDs etc u prolly need to walk over to the eq rack so its just a thought.
