Is an Epson 5050UB with 1K hours original bulb at $800 too good to be true?

Man. It does look nice. Can those have the hours reset if a new bulb was added? I like to give the benefit of the doubt but just wondering.

Pretty much every projector I've ever seen is meant to have it's lamp hours reset when the bulb is changed. Most are set to track and alert the user based on lamp hour time.

I would only take that hours measurement as for that bulb, not total use time. Unless the seller says it's the original bulb and you take him at his word.

Seller says its the original bulb. I really wish manu's would put the total power on hours in that menu. There is a tech service menu I'm sure that will show much more logging information.

If the PJ works like it should I don't see how I could have done much better.

Seriously, I have no life.
If it is as the picture shows and once you turn it on and check the hours, it is a very good find. $2600 new, nor sure how much for a new bulb.

Good luck with it! Let us know how it works out for you. Hopefully everything is good. That projector doesn't get a lot of talk about issues, so that's a plus.
