Is all GOM fabric created equal?

I'm looking at GOM fabric to cover the interior walls (over linacoustic), proscenium walls (in front of main speakers) and soffit (which will double as bass traps). I have received several samples of GOM fabric. My question is all GOM fabric equal in terms of its acoustic transparancy? FR701 is a pretty loose weave (basically like a berlap sack) no much for the WAF. :( Three other fabrics which rate high on the WAF are Network 4158, Hieroglyphics 3516 and Anchorage 2335. :D Each of these is a denser weave than FR701. My thought was to use Network 4158 or Hieroglyphics 3516 on the interior walls (where I'm looking for some mid to high range absorbtion/diffusion), and Anchorage 2335 on the horizonal surface under the soffit (where I'm hoping to get some broadband absorbtion) and possibly the proscenium walls :)confused: if it will not interfer with the sound tranmisson from the mains). Is this ok, or should I stick with the FR701 (2100 Black) for the proscenium walls? In other words is FR701 beter than Anchorage 2335 in front of my mains? I couldn't find anything on the GOM site. Thanks

All are not equal. In front of speakers, stick with 701-2100 series. There are a couple others that are OK but none of the ones you mentioned - will try to get the chart later and post.

The ones you mentioned would likely still be OK in front of treatments - but not speakers. They'll seriously muffle the high end and the denser ones can even cause comb filtering issues like a bad perforated screen.
