Is a Nakamichi Soundspace 8.5 a keeper?

So I recently got some stuff out of storage and discovered I have an almost pristine soundspace 8.5 system. From a noob perspective, it doesn't have a blu ray player and doesn't appear to have hdmi connections.

I remember the audio on this as being really nice.

Is this a keeper? If not, any recommendations on a selling price? What would be a current and comparable replacement?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Keeper? That's up to you. If you liked the sound and you think you'd use it, then go ahead and keep her. Like you said though, it doesn't support HD..

There's a listing for a new one on ebay, but I'm not sure what the actual going price of this system might be...

As for replacements, that depends on budget, your preferences, expectations, room size, etc. I'm not aware of any current combo units that come with 2 subwoofers.

Some people love them things, I remember the nakamichi 21 {I think it was 21} that thing was like $15K it has these tall skinny towers and dual subs, with this tall digital screen receiver, a pretty impressive looking system, but most likely it would pale in comparison to what you could put together yourself with a similar budget... I say if you like it and will use it, keep it, otherwise pass it along to someone that will enjoy it, and put the proceeds towards something you will use...
