I have an Onyko receiver/DVD, surround and a 42" Panasonic plasma. I was curious if the powercenters are really worth the money??? Or should I just go with a GOOD monster surge protector? I don't care to spend the money IF it's really worth it. If is more for looks then I don't really care. Thanks, neverfinished

I feel that a good-quality power conditioner IS worth the money, but not at MONSTEROUS (haha) prices. I have personaly experience of a quality line conditioner cleaning up noise in the AC line in a very noticable fashion. I'm not talking about some subtle timbre change, but rather a very obvious absence of noise. I would recommend that you opt for the Tripp-Lite HT10-DBS. It's about $80 shipped from J&R and will do everything you need.

I have the 2600 and I like it a lot. I can't say whether it makes a huge deal or not since I have never tested it without the the box. I never really turn up my system loud but I am glad I have it. I think I paid less than $250 for mine.
