For Christmas, I stuffed a "buy.com bargain" compact iPod speaker/case into my daughter's stocking. My expectation was it would give her a reasonable way to share sound at sleepovers, etc.
She recently started using this in the bathroom during showers. This is a poor fit since she needs to play it loud to overcome the background noise of the shower - SQ is diminished at the higher volume and it runs off of 2 AA batteries which get consumed quickly.
So, can you suggest an AC powered option that can be wall mounted?
I am considering the AudioEngine 2's but I don't know if it will tolerate high humidity and it won't wall mount (to ensure the power unit can't end up in the sink!).
Budget is pretty flexible.
