Ipod control with HK receiver and "the bridge"

Does anyone have any experience with using HK's with "The Bridge" for ipod control? I am thinking about doing this with a AVR 347, but will now need to rely exclusively on the on-screen controls and wanted to see if anyone had done this. How good are the on-screen controls?

No idea on the HK but I have it on my Yamaha and it is more trouble than it's worth. I just use the IOPD to control the ...ummm...IPOD...
