Dbuys.com has the Denon 3808 for $1,119 with free shipping. Is it okay to shop internet for such pieces or am I better off paying more from a local dealer?

Thanks in advance.

Buying off the internet is just fine for Denon, but make sure that it's an authorized dealer unless you're willing to forego the manufacturer's warranty.

A list of authorized dealers, as specified by Denon, can be found on their website at: http://www.usa.denon.com/OnlineETailers.asp

The only thing you beyond what Adam said is that make sure you buy from a reputable, "known" online retailer.

Some of the better ones that a lot of people including myself have bought a lot of stuff from are: SoundPros, Vanns, J&R, and OneCall. They are all top notch people to do business with.
