Internal speaker crimp terminals.

I recently opened up an expensive speaker I bought to remove the hot wheels that found their way through the port portal. The speakers used them cheap crimp style connectors internally. Considering all the hoopla about terminals in general, does anyone sell liquid gold I can spread on these? Does it sound any better? I know some.will actually soder them. I just find it funny considering all the money I spent on copper that ends it journey to those crimps.

Way too much fuss is made....as long is there is good solid contact does it matter? Soldering probably would be more about peace of mind , eh?

As long as the spades are good and tight there is usually no problem. However those steel spades can get an oxide coating than can cause trouble, as oxide coatings can act as a diode. So I personally solder all connection onto drivers, but that is because I'm trouble averse, and for me soldering is no problem. I can solder as quickly as connecting a spade.

Hm.. think I have a can of Deoxit or CRC Contact Cleaner. Suppose that wouldn't hurt when I put them back together. They did live on Florida for 20 years.

As something to sell for a quality connection between cable and connector, sure. The connection inside a speaker is not going to see that kind of use, plus if you need to take a driver out much easier :)
