Interference S-Video from Computer to CRT TV?

I bought a 25 ft s-video cable from monoprice to connect my computer to the receiver. When I'm watching anything on the CRT tv, I'm seeing banding - i.e. a band that floats from bottom to top. Sometimes, the band just alters colour and other times it distorts the picture.

I'm guessing this is some kind of interference. I've tried moving the cable away from other power cords, etc, and I'm not noticing any difference.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

For a test, try plugging everything into the same power strip. (even if you have to use an extension cord for the PC)
That would alleviate any ground loop problems.
If that doesn't work, the culprit may be that long S-video cable acting as an antenna and picking up interference.
A shielded S-video cable may help, but I'm leaning more toward a ground problem that the first test may uncover.
