I would like to know if intel is making specific hardware or if the system is going to be majority software run. Intel has a history of branding there CPU's with fancy titles just to get the general public to buy there product over an AMD proccesor.

Not really my buddy has one and seek and load times are slower than my raptor. And just a tad faster than my ata storage drive.

If you want speed out of a hard drive you have to run a RAID 0 setup and then you will see a huge speed increase.

Raid 0 is extremely fast but the major disadvantage is ZERO fault tolerance - if you lose one drive you lose all of your data. It's therefore not considered 'true' raid.

Then instead of buying 2 hard drives buy 3 and run a RAID 1 or mirrored setup.
