Integrated Amplifier Conundrum?

I have a Fisher Integrated amplifier that I have a question about.

When I turn the unit on after the secondary "click", the left channel doesn't work and gradually it comes in with some static, breakup noise. What could be causing it to do this, a bad cap or something.

Note: I find it strange how soon the secondary "click" comes. Most amplifiers with the size of this one take a little longer to initially warm-up.

Here is a link to the thread about the Fisher integrated amplifier. It has pictures so you can look at the unit, maybe I have missed something here.

Thanks in advance for any advice.:)

Seth=L,

I don't know this amplifier so venturing a reply is perhaps a little arrogant. First question: What is "a little quick" regarding the switch-on click?

It sounds to me like the bum channel's switch contacts in the relay is dirty or worse, but let us see if someone else can come up with a more definite reply.

There is a first click when you turn it on, then about 2-3 seconds later the secondary "my caps are full" click comes.

I also noticed that when I turn the volume up it seems to make the problem of the static and cutting in and out go away quicker.

Another note, this receiver has digital volume adjustment, not analog.
