Integrated amp not working

Hey Audioholics,
I got this old Sony for free on CL. I have it hooked to two junky little speakers right now to see if my turntable will play through it. I'm not getting any sound out of it, so I'm thinking the amp isn't working. Any thoughts? Here's a few pics:

Assuming you've got everything connected correctly and all the proper buttons pushed or not pushed (like speakers and tape monitors), any fuses you can check?

Took the cover off and I found just one fuse. It looks like it's soldered to the wires; not an easy fix. I do get a light on the model when the power switch is on, just no audio output. Still think it's the fuse?

Doubt it. It could be anything but it's always a good idea to check the simple stuff before sending it out to a tech, which will be your next step.

Did you make sure the tape monitor is off and a speaker is selected?

Keep in mind that someone was willing to part with it for free.

Yup, I really don't need to put any money into it. I got a new fuse today and I'll see if that fixes anything. Otherwise, it's scrap to me. Thanks for the help, markw
