Integra or Marantz receiver?

Budget....

I would buy Marantz before Onkyo..... CS reasons for one, and clicking for 2 on the Onkyo/Integras has a lot of people not too thrilled as well as the heat.

Budget....?

Your budget alone may change this, but the latest Marantz stuff just out is getting rave reviews from people that have made the move from Onkyo/Integra to Marantz - stating the SQ is more immersive and less sterile....

Good god that Anthem is hideous, and thats even before you put it next to the Marantz. What where they thinking when they designed the front panel? Am I the only one that thinks this looks chintsey?

I don't know, I don't think it looks all that bad....

Either way - its got ARC, which has proven itself for SQ, although its resolution is a bit scaled down from the Pre-Amps like the AVM-50v and the D2v

Personally I don't need a receiver, so I'm looking pretty heavy at the AV7005.
Some good discussion going on from the owners over at AVS about that unit, as well as the SR7005.... I would choose Marantz over Onkyo/Integra any day of the week.

Anthem is pretty nice, but the whole serial port thing in this day and age is beyond me.... Marantz updates their firmware over the internet automatically.

Moving, you seem to be starting alot of threads on the same topic, you should prob just stick to one and gain input from everyone that way...

I think that is a good choice - and you will be happy with that unit in the end...

Remember that Adyssey XT of that unit has the ability to be upgraded by getting the Audessy Pro kit as an add on, which will make your room correction much more powerful....

I was planning on getting it if and when I pick up the AV7005, depending on how the results come out in my room....

I think the Integra will probably have better measured specs, but I think the Marantz looks better aesthetically and may have better reliability.

I just went with the Integra DHC-40.2 and im loving it !!
