Integra dtr30.7 calibration questions

Hi,

I purchased this receiver recently. It did not come with the calibration mic so I used my phone with an app to set the decibels to 75 for all channels From my listening location. I’m running a 5.1.2 setup with an ashly ftx2001 amp for the front 2 speakers.

questions I have are is it worth it to try and find a replacement mic? I contacted integra and they said they don’t have a storefront for replacement parts and suggested I contact encompass parts. If worth it does anyone have a recommendation for a replacement mic?

next question on my manual calibration is the equalizer portion. The sound is good but to me it seems to be missing some high end. And possibly vocal range. I’ve never worked with these settings and wasn’t sure if there was a good guide or process for doing this. the Crossover and subwoofer settings seem to be working well Too.

The other thing I noticed that seemed strange is the level of the front speakers ended up set quite a bit higher. The fronts were at +5 and the center was -6 Surrounds were similar. Not sure if that’s a problem or not the ashly amp is definitely loud enough for me when I play in stereo mode and in Dolby atmos the levels sound good from all the speakers. so it seems to be working fine.

thanks,
Jason

The manual setup with your phone might be okay....how did you position the phone during the measurements/adjustments? With some sort of tripod or ?

What are all the speakers involved? Differences in level could be partly due to distance from your seat, combined with different sensitivity between speakers.

The Accu-EQ program you could use with the proper mic isn't likely worth the effort of finding one IMO.....altho I suspect the same mic was used for all the Onkyo/Integra models so you might want to see if that's the case. Ebay is a good place usually for something like that, too.

I positioned the phone with The microphone facing up about a foot behind the 2 center listening positions. it was on a heater and propped up.
rest of the speakers are the Miller Kriesel s-125 surrounds and s-125c center and 2 in ceiling atmos speakers (not sure of the brand) and a mk mx125ii subwoofer

The Yaras have a sensitivity of 90dB (but not specified as to basis) and I can't find one for the S-125C....
