My Integra DTR-8.8 can be used to Bi-Amp my Paradigm Studio 100s. It uses the normal L/R speaker connections along with the back surround L/R connections. Since I am only running 5.1 I could do this. What is the benefit of this and has anybody done this with like equipment?

First would be do you need more power? You also will find that passive bi-amping is not usally favorable. Search this forum and there are a few post in this regard..

Yes you can do it. No, you would gain no benefit from it whatsoever.
