I read a great review of this DVD player from AudioRevolution.
However the Onkyo SP1000 was rated as not quite as good as the Denon 3910 by Secrets Of Home Theater, especially for video based DVD's.

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the Integra and Onkyo models, and how they compare to the Denon 3910.

Is this the CD/DVD forum or not.

Isn't this the DVD/CD forum.

I am asking about a DVD player. This is where people post about DVD players,
if I had posted this in the Reciever/Preamp forum, then you might have a point...as it stands now, you don't.

Hello Devin,

Im currently running a DPS 6.5 Universal Player from Integra, and having great luck. Even sounds great with CD's. I know this is not the player youre looking at I thought I would throw my 2 cents in.

Im not a video person as much as an audio person but the improvement in picture quality I noticed through Integra was quite impressive over my cheap JVC player I was using. Much clearer with color looking more natural and not as over saturated with the JVC. I was also able to pick up on alot of finer detail in the background as well. I used the componet outputs so im not sure how it looks with progressive scan yet.

A few differences between Onkyo and Integra are -

1. 20% larger power supply sections across the board.
2. Burr Brown and Wolfson DAC's for audio in place of the Analog Devices used in Onkyo.
3. 3 year warranty instead of the 1 year with Onkyo.

While I have only spent a limited amount of time with Integra products I have been extremely impressed with all the products I have auditioned. There HT receivers are quite impressive. Especially playing 2 channel music.

Hope some of this helps.
