There are plenty of AV receivers which likely will do just fine. You can tell the integrator that you would prefer Yamaha/Denon over Onkyo (something I fully agree with).
Yamaha is pretty thin on their line of receivers right now. Very thin actually. They typically have 20+ receivers, but now have only 10.
If you aren't in a room with anything more than a 5.1 audio setup, then having a 9.2 receiver is somewhat pointless and may be some money wasted. So, let us know a bit more about the room and better recommendations can be made.

Really though, all of this depends on what you actually need in your room. If you have a zone 2/3 output which is needed. Other factors could come into play as well when deciding upon an AV receiver.
