Why does this post sound familiar to me???
Anyway - you want to be sure that you hit the ceiling studs for any mouting hardware that needs to support weight and you want to be sure that you are using bolts that are rated to hold 3 times the weight of the actual equipment you are putting up.
Since most 1/4" hardware is more than enough to hold a couple hundred pounts, that's what I likely would go with and recommend. Once in a ceiling stud, you could probably hang from a single bolt without it coming out.
Once your screen is up, on center, where you want it, then you hang the projector. I typically have flipped my projector over, and pulled out my ladder and positioned the projector almost exactly where I've wanted it on the ladder. Once I have the positioning perfect, I check for studs in the ceiling, then move the projector forward or backwards a few inches so that the ceiling mount will hit the studs perfectly.
I personally always use Chief ceiling mounts because they have very flexible setup options and are incredibly durable.
