Installing 4806 Firmware

I finished installing the latest firmware update per Denon instructions but have not had a quiet enough environment in which to re-run the AutoEq. Everthing seemed to have gone according to plan but when I tried to use Audyssey, no sound came through. The only settings I can get sound is from Manual and Off.

Does anyone know if I have to re-run the AutoEq before I am able to use Audyssey again?

Thanks.

First off did you 4806 fall in the range of serial numbers that required the update? If not doing so is at your own risk. I would advise a reset of the unit followed by rerunnng the Autoeq. If it still doesn't work, you may want too email Denon giving them your serial number and see if they'll send you the orginal firmware.

Confirmed Serial #

I confirmed the serial number prior to installation. And after downloading the 28 pg instructions, I rechecked again just to make sure.

Last night I re-ran the auto eq and am now back in service. And what a difference the update made. The high frequencies have been tamed and no longer are boosted within the eq settings.

I read in the AVS forum that if Audyssey in engaged while updating, no sound will be produced until you re-run auto eq. Apprently, that is what I did.
