just received my new sammy hl67a750, love it, but when dish net made install notice poor or no signal from sat 129 . make them use 2 dishes. these people and direct tv are trying to recieve signals from 3 sats that 20 degrees apart in the belt from 1 dish. also noticed not as many broadcasts are in h.d as i thought and even some who are are using every format under the sun. i assumed h.d. meant 16/9 noooooo. i got h.d. 4/3/ 16/9 and wierd combinations bigger than 4/3 but not as big as 16/9. so if the quality is ex than i stretch, if its not it makes me hot! but i will say this, my led/dlp 67" has a picture on high quality broadcasts (disc, espn, local news, races, the newer tv shows etc) every bit as good as the 6000-7000 dollar lcd/pd set at 1900 bucks!:)

Glad you're happy. SO multiple dishes helps grab different satellites, huh? Did he end up using some kind of combiner to recombine the signals? I am not familiar with how they dial in satellite.

Welcome to the world of HD - you only get HD on HD channels when the source was shot in HD to begin with. More and more content it going this way, so it keeps getting better.

I only have one dish (on a post in the backyard) for both SD and HD (and I get every HD channel Dish Network has) - granted when I added HD I needed a new dish, but it is still only one dish. All my signals are 80+. Wierd that you have 2:confused:

The two dish thing is mainly a northwest phenomenon as far as I know. I see Jamiecid is in Washington like me. I also have Dish and they installed two dishes to catch all the satellites. We have to use sat 129 and our geographical location makes two dishes the optimal method.

I think at least having the option of two dishes would be a good thing for DirecTV to consider. I had called DirecTV first and the guy who came out said it couldn't be done because of obstacles (trees). DirecTV uses a single dish to catch five satellites. My Dish install has been up and running for over 7 months now and I have not had a single problem.

All of my signals with Dish network are above 95 or higher. I am in Wisconsin however.
