It appears the current 50" plasma offered by Best Buy's in house brand is entirely Samsung OEM. Unlike the previous model that used a Samsung panel and no name electronics the new television doesn't stand out next to the other plasma televisions on the Best Buy show floor.

At $899 the television appears to be a great bargain supporting full 1080p resolution. It's a little connection light with only 2 HDMI inputs, making it highly possible the set uses 1-2 year old Samsung platform electronics. We aren't unfamiliar to seeing this strategy in Wal-Mart with their budget brand name televisions (Wal-Mart is usually at least a year behind with Sony and Samsung televisions).
