the Yammy is excellent for movies. That being said, it has some problems with speakers lower than 8 ohm (I personally don't know what the PSB's are..) and it will run hot. If the PSB's are 6 ohm speakers, the Denon would probably be a better choice.

Either the yammy or the denon would be great choices. Both are well built units. I have not heard about the yammy's problem with 6 ohm speakers. Might want to research that a bit.

Have you considered the Pioneer VSX-1015tx? It is in the same price range as some of the others you are considering. Really strong unit. If you can wait a little while, Pioneer will release the 1016, which looks even stronger.

Just for your consideration.

Receiver options

I would cross Kenwood and JVC off your list.
That is a great price on the Yamaha RX-V2500 and it offers the best performance of the models on your list. For comparable performance from Denon, you would have to step up to the 3805 model.

Also note, the Denon or Yamaha wont have a problem with 6 ohm speakers, but most receivers have trouble with 4 ohm speakers.
