Infinity SW-12/Image 1b's

Has anyone heard it? Im thinking about putting it in my basement theater for my parents. They go for 799 at vanns.com and i can get one for 840 + tax (possibly lower) brand new from my local dealer. I was taking a look at it today and it looks incredibly beefy. It is also sexy .

I was also looking at the image 15b's which I was thinking about replacing my polk surrounds with. They sounded awesome at the store, but I didn't really have anything to compare em with. Let me know what you guys think about these two speakers

I've heard the Infinity SW-12 (I have the BETA series speakers so this sub should carry a lot of weight in the looks department for me)

I still think its overpriced for the performance, I think even the Velodyne DLS4000R will beat it ... but for that price you can get the DLS-5000R.

looks like you are from Canada, I was supposed to suggest SVS ...

oh wow, I just realized that i put this in the wrong section, stupid me. Anyways, the store had a DLS-4000R on display as well, going for around 600 I beleive, maybe 7000. I got the impression that the SW-12 was higher quality then the DLS-4000R just by looking at them, but looks dont mean anything. What would you guys suggest?

Infinity is very good in the looks department. especially if you take the grill off. WOW, very nice looking driver. the velodyne is trumped sideways in the looks department.

but then, the Velodyne has a remote

since both are in-store, why don't you listen to both and let your ears decide.

hehe, yeah, maybe i will. Im going to go next saturday or sunday because the owner of the store is off holidays, and he is the one who authorizes my amazing deals. I should be able to get the DLS-4000R for around 550 and the SW-12 for about 700.

lol, I didnt ask. I just saw that on display, along with the sw-12, and sw-15. BTW, the sw-15 is HUGE and extremely heavy lol.

really? I was unaware that there was an sw-15.

you are right, there isn't I just assumed that there was because the other sub was like 4" higher and 4" wider then the sw-12. W/E
