I'd like to hear what y'all think about these and what would be the best sub in these price ranges. I'm going to get a sub for a large room with high ceilings, i have bose front and center speakers trying to convert to infinity I'm getting infinity 250 floors for rear, maybe just one for now, because of the way it would look in my house. but i will need a good sub for bass

thanks,
Michael

These Infinities do a fine job. But there are better available at the same price points. What size room is it going in?

Hi jmc. I hope I'm reading your post correctly. If you are asking for opinions on those subs then they are OK. There are much better subs and the subwoofer is the one speaker you do not have to worry matching with the others. The price ranges vary from dealer to dealer but ithink a fair price range to assume would be from $150 for the ps8 to about $350 for the ps12. If you provide the costs you're looking at you'll get better answers but my suggestion would be to look at the HSU stf-2 for $399. It is a better sub than what you're looking at and for $50 more it is a good investment.

For the $150 -$250 range I'd suggest the BIC America V1220. It's about $175 online, and it is as good as any of the infinity subs you have listed even the PS12 IMO.

Hope those options help. THe bigger the room the better the sub you'll need is a good general rule.
