Infinity Interlude Speaker Set?

I have a entertainment room I think is 15' by 14' or 16' by 15'

I am looking on craigslist and ebay and I have targeted 4-6 year old speakers that I heard are stellar. For the front L and R I am looking at the Infinity Interlude IL40's, a center IL36, back L and R IL30's, and for surround Beta ES250. Will be running this with Denon 3808 (130 x7) or Onkyo 805 (130 x 7).

3 questions...

1) I can put this together for about $1200, would this be a good sounding system in a room the size that was mentioned above and would the es250's match well enough with the interludes? I am looking long term. Watch about 5-8 hours of movies a week. Some CD stereo and SACD music would be played on this as well.

2) I was thinking of buying the IL40's the IL36's and bypassing the IL30's and going with two pairs of the ES250's. Would all these speakers match and sound consistent? Would it be better going with the 4 bipole ES250's or going with a pr of ES250's and a pr of IL30's.

3) Or should I wait all together and slowly put together a system that is more current... like Klipsch reference, Infinity Cascade, Def Tech Mythos, Martin Logan Design series?

I hope this is not too juvenile to put on here.

Thank you in advance for your help. I will post something later after hearing from you all on this subject! Thanks again!

The Betas use a very similar tweeter to the Interludes, if not the same. They probably also use similar x-over arangements. I would say go for the set up. I would like to toss in the Yamaha RX-V1800 for consideration, because it looks very nice. Neither the Denon or Yamaha can compete with the TX-SR805's power. The Interludes aren't very efficient, so you may want to take as much power as you can get. The Onkyo runs pretty hot, this could affect it's life, it might not. The Onkyo is also very physically large. It's dimensions are bigger than a typical AVR in this price range (mostly due to the bigger amplifier) and it also weighs quite a bit (50 pounds).

The interludes are in fact, six ohms. IMO the Interludes are far superior to the Cascade, and Klipsch Reference. I cannot comment on the Martin-Logan never having heard them.

If surround music is important then bi-polar may not be such a great idea. After 4-6 years those speakers are just getting warmed up.

So 2 pairs of ES250's?

Seth... always very helpful... would you bypass the IL30's as my back speakers and go with 2 pairs of ES250's?

Or should I go with IL30 in surround and ES250's as my surround back?

Let me know.

The other poster said to bypass the ES250's if I plan to play SACD or DVD-A, at least that is what I think he said.... looking for more movie than SACD or DVD-A though really.

Let me know which would be best for a Theatre type sound.

Thank you again!!
