Infinity Beta 40/50

I found a pair of Cherry Beta 40s for just under $540. While the cherry version look nice online, I have been unable to find some locally to see in person. A pair of Beta 50's in black are currently on sale for $650.

For a $110 price difference, would I be better off buying the Beta 50's? The speakers will be used for 85% home theater and 15% music.

Beta 50's

I would buy the Beta 50's they will play a bit louder than the 40's. It is worth the extra $110. Plus they will give you another 10 cycles of extension in the bass.

You should PM mike c, he was making the same desicion earlier, and then chose the 50's. Find out why he did, and maybe it will be the same for you.

I really like the beta 50's and listen to them quite a bit where I work. (circuit city) I have not had a chance to hear the 40's but I would imagine they would still be very nice. I ordered a pair of the 50's. They are sitting at my parents house right now and I wont get them till Christmas So pm me if you like after that and I will tell you what I think of them in an environment outside of the Circuit City sound room. I will also post a review.
