There is a pretty big discussion on it over at AVS Forum and I just got it last night and I'm very impressed with it in regards to what I paid and compared to what I had before. I had the MTX SW2 sub that almost everyone hates...lol. The MTX sub was very boomy and loud, but it did flood the room with a lot of bass. At first, when I installed this sub, I thought that it was too quiet. After tinkering with the settings on the sub as well as the receiver, I am now enjoying less boom and a more range in low frequency sound. It took me a second to get used to it and I still have some more adjustments to make and to place the sub in other parts of the room. I find that that I still like the MTX sub for music more and this is much better for watching movies. I notice different frequencies or variations of bass in movie scenes rather than just a vague rumble as the SW2 gave me. For the money, I don't think there's much better, but I would still try and see if you can get a nice sub used. If I found an Elemental Designs A2-300 used, I would probably buy that. That's the sub I was really looking at other than this one.
