I finally have the opportunity to upgrade from a 2.1 system in my old apartment to a 5.1 or even 7.1 in my new space. There are some complexities to the space but I would like to make it as good as possible. The room is approximately 10' x 18' (although it is open to a lofted space that extends a total of 44', nearly 500 sq ft total open area), and the sofa is placed slightly off center relative to the TV due to some low stairs on one side.
Due to space and "significant other" constraints (she doesn't like the look of big speakers), the audio system will need to be in-wall. Currently, there is a Leon Horizon 313 sound bar installed above the TV. My legacy setup was a pair of Paradigm Studio 20 fronts, and a SV Sound 16-46 PC+ woofer w/ Yamaha RX-V2500.
LCR
I would love to be able to do three Paradigm SA-LCR 3 v.3 in-wall around me TV, but there just isn't enough room in the wall on the right side of the TV (as seen from the couch - the wall is only ~4" from the edge of the TV here). Is there any alternative to using a sound bar in this situation? If a sound bar is the way to go, what could get me closest to the Paradigm LCR experience - Leon 515? Leon 616? Paradigm Millenia 20 Trio?
Subwoofer
So far I have identified either the Paradigm RVC-12SQ or B&W ISW-4 as potential solutions to go in-wall under the TV. How do these two units compare? Will two units side by side serve me better, or will one be sufficient? Is there any other in-wall sub I should be considering?
Surround
If I can get them to fit, the SA-ADP v.3 seem to be great surround speakers. I have also been recommended the Sonance VP-65, which require a slightly smaller cut out and may fit better - is either better than the other? My surround situation is somewhat less than ideal as the surround speakers may not be equidistant to the center of the sofa as they most likely will need to be placed in the walls facing the sofa on either side of the windows on the wall behind the sofa.
Rear
The only way for me to do rears in this space would be to use in-ceiling speakers, such as Paradigm SA-15R-SM v.3. Is it worth it in this situation?
Receiver
As much as I've loved it over the years, it's time to upgrade my Yamaha RX-V2500. I met with a custom installer who recommended the Integra 70.4, but at nearly twice the price of the Yamaha RX-A3010 given the great deals that can be had now on that model. I don't care about 4k up-conversion - is there any good reason (other than price) to prefer one over the other? I will likely have a 2nd TV in the bedroom, can the A3010 deliver a different input to each of the HDMI outputs in different zones (or would I need the "multi-zone HDMI out" on the A3020 to accomplish this)?
Thank you in advance for any advice or general suggestions for this system.
