I need some advice on in-wall speakers for a 20' by 20' room. I'm looking to spend around $1,500 for a 7.1 system.

What I should look for in that price range: specs, good brands, etc? Also, any experience with Cambridge Soundworks speakers? I've got no clue re. their quality, but the guy I spoke to about my speaker placement challenges was incredibly helpful.

My other components are:
  • Projector: Panasonic PT-AX100U
  • Screen: 100" Elite Cinetension
  • Receiver: Onkyo SR 605
  • Cable/DVR: Scientific Atlanta HD DVR
  • DVD: Toshiba HD-A2

Are you absolutely limiting yourself to in-wall, and if so, why?

Hello, and welcome to the forums. 7.1 for $1500.00 in a room that size is not going to happen, sorry, not if you want to do it right. First off, you need a beefy sub, because 20 x 20 x 8 = 3200 cubic feet. You can drop $1000.00 on just a sub for that large a room. Many subs to choose from, but two respected internet only companies are SVS Sound and Hsu Research. You can call these companies with your room size, and they will give recommendations.
