Next thing.

I am going to put some in wall speakers in the kitchen. I like the BIC M-80's, has anyone heard them? Are there any other in walls out there that are reasonable? Also anyone know what this rough in kit is for and do I need it?

Edit: The drywall is not up yet.

The "rough-in" kit is for pre-construction. You put the frame in between the studs before the drywall goes up.

Affordable in-walls.......

So I guess I need those.
No, but they can make installation a bit easier. Otherwise, you have to cut and measure exactly where things go later.

The only thing you really want to have before drywall goes up is the wiring in place.

In walls?

Sonance and Speakercraft should also be looked at.

My personal favorite is Sonance which really makes some in-walls to be reckoned with.
