I notice that you can get alot better in wall speakers then there is in ceiling, so my question is, can you use in wall speakers for in the ceiling? And also how good is Dayton Audio in wall/ceiling speakers? I will be putting in ceiling speakers in my kitchen, bathroom, and hallway. So I dont need anything with theatre quality but something that can be turned up a bit. Thanks!

Yes you can put in wall speakers in the ceiling. They are of the same design. I would how ever not recomend it though. There are some awesome round 6.5 inch 2 way speakers (even some 3 way) that would do the job more than well enough for music listening. Plus you would not have a square speaker in the ceiling. I bet the fasion police (aka wife) will be more happy with a less obvious speaker than the bigger square one. Plus if you have recessed lighting in the ceiling, a square speaker would clash as far as looks are concerned. round, square, round etc......

Take a look at: Niles, Phase Tech, Earthquake these companies make a good inwall/inceiling speakers.

Not real impressed with the DA specs. Especially with the amp you're considering using. I have Paradigm CS60Rs (US$200) with a more powerful amp and they sound great. You should also consider a speaker selector box to help with the impedance issues of multiple speakers.

Do you have a budget in mind for the speakers? Have you considered a single stereo speaker, for use in the bathroom for example?

Actually yes, I was planning on only putting 1 speaker in the bathroom and maybe only 1 in the hallway too since it isn't very long. So four speakers in total. Is there any companies that make 4 ohm or 16 ohm ceiling speakers by chance? I don't want to spend too much on these speakers, but I'm not gona cheap out and get something that sounds bad. Thinking maybe going a pair of 8's in the kitchen, and a pair of 6.5's to split for the bathroom and hallway.

There are 4 ohm speakers, but they will cost much more. Don't know of any 16 ohm. Sound and quality preferences vary from individal to individual. And budget is always the deciding factor. I will only recommend best quality for the budget options. I continue to recommend Polk Audio for this reason.
