In wall speaker and HDMI wiring quesiton

I am getting supplies I need to run the wiring in my walls. I"m going with a 5.1 system, with a future upgrade option of .4 Atmos. It looks like I need a total of around 200ft due to how I will need to run the wires. I looked at the online chart here on audioholics, and it looks like 12 gauge would be the best option to make sure I don't bottle neck any future upgrades in speakers and power. The longest stretch is about 35 feet.

I am going to use a 5 speaker Monoprice banana plug wall mount for the 5.1 side, and a separate 4 speaker wall plate for the atmos lines I hope to have one day. lol The sub will be near the receiver so I won't run that in wall.

I plan to use a projector, and I"m going to get an HDMI over ethernet setup.

Does anybody have any issues with what I'm doing here? I have no idea if all these breaks in the lines is worth the look of it being nice and neat. I know the more connections in a line, the more degraded the signal can be.

Is it ok to use these wall plates, and should I use them on the speaker side as well to keep a clean look? How will the HDMI signal be affected by using that Ethernet bridge?

Can’t say I’m a fan of wall plates for the very reason you mentioned: Too many connection points, and needless connection points at that. Just leave enough wire coming out of the wall and perhaps a bit extra (which can easily be pushed back into the wall). For wall plates at the speaker locations you can simply use a blank and drill a hole in it with a step drill (aka unibit) for the wire to pass through. At the equipment rack no plate is needed at all, or perhaps a bullnose plate. No one would be able to see a fancy connection plate behind the equipment rack anyway, so there’s especially no point in using one there.
