In-wall or freestanding speakers for projection home theater?

I am going to be installing a projector with a fixed screen for home theater. The seating will be 13' from the screen, which will be 96" wide. I am trying to figure out whether to get in-wall speakers with an acoustically transparent screen or floor standing fronts / center and wallmounted rears. I would prefer the inwalls for the look, but I am concerned that I will sacrifice sound quality (and possibly video quality with the screen). The other benefit of in-wall would be that the speakers could be mounted closer to each other vs 9+ ft apart.

For whatever it is worth, I will probably be getting Mordaunt Short speakers either way.

Any advice or experience would be most appreciated.

Welcome MrMongo, at 13’ viewing/listening distance, the wider soundstage would be preferred. That said, with the proper in-walls and acoustically transparent screen no degradation should be noticeable. If able, I would at least place the center behind the screen for best dialog/sound image placement. BTW, how wide is your room.
