Let's face it, the future is speakers without big boxes to go with displays without big boxes. Better speaker manufacturers with actual R&D budgets should be able to design an in wall or on wall to sound just as good as a traditional box.
I realized this when I inquired with some speaker manufacturers about new product lines of traditional boxed speakers. They all responded with "we've been concentrating on the architectural market, which is the largest growing market now and in the future".
I've always been a quality and value over aesthetics kind of person, but square footage isn't getting any cheaper and seven boxes in a living room just looks bad, never mind the nagging spouse.
I'd love to see a section covering architectural speakers. Granted, I can see how swapping out samples for review has some logistical issues.
