can you install an in-wall center channel speaker in the same wall as a fireplace vent. I purchased a home that already had a HT in place with in-celing polkaudio SC60 in front and rear. I have been looking for a center channel to go with theese speakers. The wall that the screen is on is on the opposite wall of a fireplace. When I was checking out all of the prewiring I noticed that the metal chimney goes through the same space about 6" from the theater wall. How hot will this space get if the fireplace is on? The hometheater is on the second floor. Will a encased center match with in-ceiling speakers.

Thanks any help would be appreciated.

Wish I could help with the in-wall issue, but if at all possible you're better off with an in-room center. Either the Polk CSi A4/6 should work well.

Thanks

Thanks. I decided to just get a boxed center. I will either get the Polk CS20 or the CSI A4. From what I could tell from the specs the CS20 has similar component materials.
