Folks, since Christmas is right around the corner I thought I would ask what is YOUR favorite Christmas song? I know it is hard to believe it is that time of year again. Since, I am posing this question it is only fair I answer. ;);) My favorite song is a tie!:eek: Yep, it is a tie between the following:

"Carol of the Bells" AND "Greensleeves". I can think of several Christmas songs I really like, but these two stand out to me.:eek: How about YOU? Care to chime in and show your Christmas spirit? :):)

Cheers,

Phil

I have disliked the Drummer Boy song since I had to sing it about a thousand times in third grade choir. If it was not for that I probably would not mind it.

I think I like Jingle Bell Rock, that Beach Boys song I think its called Jolly St. Nick, The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole to name a few.

White Christmas .. by Andy Williams

Phil,

Another good Thread!

I liked Andy Williams or Burle Ives traditional Christmas albums, probably the best song White Christmas.

This year i setup Crhistmas decorstions based on a Santa motif. The sant motif was soemwhat by happenstance. My wife went to Beringer's last year for the 75% off after Christmas sale and bought two pretty neat items. One was a lighted 60' tall Santa Claus metal display ( that started the Santa theme  ) The other was a 6 channel ( 6 light outlets) light display with music ( random Christmas songs probably 10-12 in total). So I set up 6 different stations of lights including some ligheted candy canes and a lighted Frosty the Snowman, a large Santa stocking topped by Santa and full of red stuffed toys. It actually came out pretty night and the light synchonization is awesome. The audio quality is not up to my expected levels , but what can one expect for a 2 1/2' outdoor speaker .

Any way the overall effect somewhat mitgates the sound quality!

Oh Yes, another favorite is "Rudolph the Red ....."

Merry Christmans to all and to all a good night.

MidCow2,

P.S. on another audio note got a iHome I51 iPod docking station, clock radio with two speakers and small sub for my son's birthday ($99 at Costco). For a small system the sound is very nice, to add to the iPod Touch I gave him early ;)

least liked - Christmas Album by Larry the Cable Guy  an abortion of traditional Christmas songs

How could I have forgotten White Christmas? That has to be the best. I like most of the children's Christmas songs as well. Rudolph, Frosty, etc... they all bring back good memories of when the boys were young.

Those of you with young children please appreciate the holidays in spite of the misery in the world. They are gone all too soon.

Thanks Mid for your kind words. It sounds like you and wife are really feeling the Christmas spirit. It is always good when people do. Personally, the Christmas season is a time for me reflect upon my early childhood albeit very happy times. Hence, my Mom always made sure that we got to experience the magic of Christmas. For that, I have been and always will be forever grateful. Now go enjoy your new sub my friend. ;);) Oh btw, be sure to leave Santa a note so that he doesn't trip over your new sub. :D:D

Cheers,

Phil

Awesome Mud! Your words here in this post reflect exactly how I feel. Children are special and really need to experience the magic of Christmas. Times are tough and times are scary. But, with a little effort on our part children can still have a great Christmas. In other words, this holiday season please reach out and perhaps help your neighbor if it is nothing more than offering a cup of coffee. ;);)

Yeah, Bing is one voice that I will never forget. Growing up I always associated him with Christmas. As such, it is not the same w/o hearing Bing sing. Thanks for posting bear. Hope all is well. :):)
