In need of subwoofer selection advice.

Big thanks to anyone who can offer any advice while I am deciding which sub to buy! I am nearly finished updating and improving my home theater system and will then be doing the same to my two-channel system. My home theater is powered by a NAD T775 HD2 receiver. I nearly bought a T975 7-channel amp last week on eBay, but that deal fell through. I still plan to add one of those in the future. The speakers are currently PSB Imagine T's up front with an Imagine C in the middle and Imagine B's in back. I like 7-channel sound and will be adding another pair of Imagine B's or Imagine S's, but that is a question for another time.
I have narrowed my sub search to a few from Sunfire and a few from PSB. I live in Louisville, Ky. and we don't currently have a true hi-fi store where I can audition the products I like in person. The closest we have to hi-fi is the Magnolia section at Best Buy. They carry B&W, but don't keep the high end stuff in stock. I depend solely on reviews from magazines and websites like this one for information. The Sunfire subs that I think will work for me, and fit in my budget, are the HRS12, HRS10, Solitaire 10, Super Junior, and Super Junior 8. The PSB subs I'm considering are the Subsonic 10 from the discontinued Platinum series, the SubSeries 300, and the HD10. Again, I am unable to personally audition anything good in my hometown and will appreciate any information from anyone who has heard any of these. I would also appreciate any other recommendations that anyone else might have. The size of the box doesn't matter to me, only the quality of the sound with accuracy being the most important consideration. I am currently using a Polk PSW505 that I got for cheap from Amazon about 8 months ago to get me through while searching. Obviously that one needs to be replaced ASAP. I plan to use only one sub with this system, but it's possible that I might add a second sub in the distant future, after I have finished with the improvements on my two-channel system. Thanks again to everyone who is able to help me!

How big is the room it will go in? Would you be willing to go with a sub that you might not be able to hear first (internet direct) since you are going on reviews? There are a LOT of good subs out there that I would most likely recommend considering first. For starters:
