Two questions I hope you guys can help me with. My audio setup is as follows.. Onkyo TX-NR 708 receiver, 2 Def tech BP8020ST's, Def Tech mythos 7 center channel, Def tech super cube 3 and 4 in- ceiling Onkyo speakers. I put this together in stages, so i have some miss matching parts. I am currently using a 7 channel PLII Height set up.( the front in-ceiling speakers are just above and outside the right and left towers.
My main concern is these in-ceiling speakers. They sound like ****. Ive screwed with every possible setting on the receiver and haven't noticed any improvement. I live in Japan and from what i can see, these speakers and only available here. Onkyo ICS-10. Ive been toying with the idea of replacing the in-ceiling speakers with better ones like the Definitive Technology DI 6.5STR. The other option would be to buy 2 bookshelf surrounds and just give up on the rear ceiling surrounds, thats where its most noticeable. Advice please!!
