In-Ceiling Speakers

I've posted here in recent weeks regarding building a 5.1 surround system. I'm using Legacy Audio Classic towers and Silverscreen 2 center channel. I have two Legacy Audio bookshelf speakers but they're too bulky to use in my room as the rears, so I'm going to install in-ceiling speakers. A local store that I've used before offered to sell me the Martin Logan Vanquish speakers out of their ceiling, as they're looking to replace them. He's asking $1000 total for both, and says they've been installed for a few years. This seems to be a good price point based on their original MSRP of $1300 each, but I don't know much else about them. Any thoughts? If not these, any recommendations for other in-ceiling units that would go well with my system?

Thanks

I would not spend that much on ceiling speakers, especially those MLs. They are open back and have far too much technology for a speaker severely flawed at the fundamental design stage.

Get something with a closed back. They are all somewhat flawed, and have tweeters pointing in all sorts of directions often right in front of the speaker cone.
I personally think that ceiling speakers are an ideal application for full rangers in a closed box and that is what I'm going to do for my Atmos speakers.
