In ceiling SB speaker recommendation

Currently Have B&W CM series 5.1 setup. Looking to go with 7.1 setup. AVR: Denon 4308CI, Amp: XPA-5

Due space limitation looking to place SB speakers to install in ceiling.

I have a small living room and couch is sitting against back wall... Hence ceiling speakers would be best.

I mainly watch Blu-Ray movies. I do have some reservation about going 7.1 since even most Blu-Ray movies come with 5.1

So the question Is, worth doing a 7.1 ? And if so... Which in wall speaker do you recommend

5.1 vs 7.1 is a matter of preference and choice. I can easily live with out
7.1 - there is enough artifical sound in movies to begin with. If you want
to do in-ceiling, then check the Snell speakers out.

since the seating is against the back wall, it probably won't do much for you.
and may even sound crappy.

my advice : get 2 extra speakers. make temp stands for them = yes, large enough to hang them above you. some 2x4's and screws will do the trick.
then experiment with placement.

if you like the results, put the in ceilings where you like them. if you don't like it, you didn't spend a lot of time, effort & money, for nothing.

BTW, Since most movies are 5.1, will I even get sound from SB speakers ?

Yes, that's what Dolby PLIIx processing is for. But as said, without adequate space behind, the rear channels offer no real benefit.
