G'day
need help just bought yamaha rx-v667 and a set of psb alpha pack
consisting of 2x t1,2x b1 1xc1 and a subsonic 5i, question is the amp
has a factory setting of 8 ohms and speakers vary between 8 & 6 do i
need to change and will it damage if not correct because they sound
good now. any other advise on set such as rear speaker stands etc etc
will be welcome thankyou
ps please don't tell me i've bought the wrong gear it will only make me cry

You bought the wrong gear!! :p

Just kidding...

You should leave the speaker impedance settings as they are.

For speaker stands, try Amazon or racksandstands.com

The Yamaha 667 is a perfectly good amplifier and shouldn't choke on 6 ohm nominal loads. I'd leave it at the 8 ohm setting. The 4 ohm setting will cut the available power and you don't want that unless the amplifiers are going into protection mode.

Your speakers should present a reasonable load to any decent amplifier. I wouldn't worry about it.
