Impact Acoustics - Is customer service on vacation?

Okay, yes, I'm venting. So, I'm in the Steam Vent. After months of planning my wiring, I decided to buy a cable from Impact Acoustics based on the description on their website and a phone conversation with a sales associate. I chose them over their competitors specifically because of that information. At $55, I don't consider it an inexpensive cable. Unfortunately, the cable that they sent doesn't match their description at all - in particular, it's three times as thick as they stated (and thicker than the competition) - and won't work for my under carpet application.

Okay, these things happen. I was disappointed, but I figured that they'd make it right, so I wasn't worried. However, after receiving no response from their customer service after four business days and three attempts to contact them, I'm starting to get upset. Tomorrow is the first day that I'll have a chance to call them during their business hours, so maybe I'll have more success. However, I honestly expected a response after four days. Just doesn't seem like how customer service at a good company should act.

That does suck. Hopefully it works out.

Just want to give an update on my experience with Impact Acoustics. The e-mail drought was upsetting, but once I got a hold of someone, it worked out great. I'm glad that I had the day off today and was able to call during their business hours. I just spoke with someone in customer service, and I'm very happy with the exchange. It turns out that they had already processed my request but just hadn't notified me of it. The gentleman on the phone was very professional and courteous. My impression of them has flipped 180 degrees, and I would certainly recommend them.

Aren't thicker cables generally considered more desirable?

Not in my case because I will be running this under my carpet. The cable that I was sent is thick enough that I can easily feel it through the carpet when I step on it.

Not only Adam's case but also when you are doing in wall installation or if you just need to bend a wire it isn't always good to have one that you can't maneuver.
