IMAX Enhanced Samsung Firmware Update

Did anyone with a Samsung 4K TV 2016-2021 get a new firmware update today? I got one for my 2016 un65ks9500. I’m thinking it might be the update needed to watch IMAX Enhanced content for the Disney+ app that will be releasing the Marvel movies in IMAX-E this Friday. Any thoughts?

Your TV is much newer than mine. I got firmware 250.2 this morning. Maybe your TV has all it needs to broadcast IMAX Enhanced content on the Disney+ app this Friday already inside Because it’s newer. Thanks for the response Bruce.

Oh that’s great. I didn’t notice any new features on any of the menus. But, I’m thinking it’s just for the Disney+ app for IMAX Enhanced content on Friday.

Different models will have different firmware versions. The updates are usually for bug fixes and app issues. I check my firmware from time to time. Been on 1290 for awhile and 1300 shows available now. I think it is technically 1300.4.

Got a QN65N90A was updated yesterday don’t know what it added .mine shows current version 1805 .

I updated to 1385.0 from 1374, but can't find the details area for that update. Checking around, most people do not seem to know what it did lol. It was fairly large, took about 4-5 minutes to download and update (1.2GB/5G wifi), where 1374 I seem to recall took only a minute or two.

Mine took longer than usual as well and ended up being 1300.3. It was buggy at first and needed a few reboots.

Thanks for the heads up. I’m gonna check later when I get home to see if my TV needs an update. I have a newer Samsung 4K TV too..
