i'm new to this forum, and i'm a student who has no money

but my set up is'nt bad for something made from different parts.

i found an 80's stereo reciver - still in good condition, and hooked up some 8 Volt speakers to em, so now i can watch movies in stereo (have a mono tv). also have a sony Hi FI vcr which is kind of giving me the ####s, coz it it chooses the videos it wants to play in stereo - even if the video is in stereo.

also have a PS2, so yeah, that solves the dvd aspect
and i have a few dvds that are in 2.0 so it's not too bad, i'm busting for 5.1 audio though.

Tv;s just a little 20 inch one. but all in all, i dont think it's a bad set up considering.

Color perception is a matter of personal taste and in my opinion SONY has the best, most vivid color. Mitsubishi is quite good too and so is Pioneer.

I did side-by-side comparisons of rear projection tvs. I bought Hitachi, it was noticeably better than Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic. Pioneer was overpriced and I'm not convinced it is better. Haven't seen Mitsubishi. Good luck.
